The League of PALS

THE LEAGUE OF PALS is a Christian Youth/College Ministry covered by Generation 3:16 Ministries as college ministry arm. It aims to reach the universities and college campuses in and outside the Philippines and share the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE of JESUS CHRIST presented on the cross, create an ACCOUNTABLE family to help them grow in Christ, equip zealous LEADERS and FOLLOWERS of CHRIST JESUS, and to be involved in community/ministry SERVICES. It was first launched at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (University of Pasig City) last December 2008.

We are identified by the acronym of P.A.L.S.

...the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We accept the Scriptures as infallible authority on all matters of doctrine and conduct. (2Timothy 3:16; 1Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

...there is only one eternal God, revealed in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit ( commonly known as the Trinity ) (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; 2Corinthians 13:14)

...the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified after living a sinless life, died and was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man. (Luke 1:31,35; Hebrews 4:15; 1Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9,11, 2:33; John 1:1-3,14)

...man is created in the image and likeness of God, but through the transgression and fall of Adam, sin came into the world. We believe Jesus Christ was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life to restore man back to God. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12; 1John 3:8; Matthew 20:28)

...salvation is the free gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is obtained by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)

...the true church consists of all who through faith in Jesus Christ and have been born again, regardless of religious denomination. This universal church, the Body of Christ, is expressed in local churches. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 1:2; Galatians 1:2)

...the baptism in water, by full immersion, and the Holy Communion as direct commandments of the Lord Jesus for all believers. We believe these external acts symbolize the Christian’s identification with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

...the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God to all believers and is received subsequent to the new birth. This infilling is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. We believe in and desire for the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:38-39, 8:12-17, 10:44-46; 1Corinthians 12:8-10; 1Corinthians 2:4)

...the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ also secured redemption from sickness and poverty. (Isaiah 53:4-5; 1Peter 2:24; 2Corinthians 8:9; Galatians 3:13-14)

...in the giving of tithes and offerings as an important element of God’s covenant of blessings and provisions to His children. (Malachi 3:10-12; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

...in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the same way that He went to Heaven. (Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:11; 1Thessalonians 4:16)

...in the resurrection of the dead, and in an eternal judgment ending in everlasting punishment for the unjust and life eternal for the just. (Acts 24:15; Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25)

...in the Great Commission that the Jesus gave to the church to go into the whole the world and preach the gospel to every creature, and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)
